9th Annual Farmingdale St. Patrick’s Day Parade: What You Need To Know

FARMINGDALE, NY — The 9th annual Farmingdale St. Patrick's Day Parade is set for 1 p.m. March 12, the village announced.
The parade is slated to kick off from Northside Elementary School and spans about half a mile down Main Street to the Village Green.
The event will feature local community groups, fire departments, pipe bands, village officials, and more. Monsignor Mark P. Rowan of the St. Kilian Parish is set to serve as the parade's grand marshal.

Main Street will be temporarily closed for the parade.
The event is sponsored by the Farmingdale Business Improvement District. The village gave a special thanks to Joe Fortuna, owner of The Nutty Irishman; parade participants; the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce; and others.

Groups, organizations or clubs interested in participating or marching in the parade should email Fortuna at Joef@thenuttyirishman.com or call 516-293-9700.
Residents and others can also join in the line-up to march. The Parade step-off is at 1 p.m., though
marchers and parade participants should meet at Northside School around 12:30 p.m. to line-up.
"Enjoy lunch with family before the parade and stay downtown afterwards for dinner and drinks," the village wrote. "Farmingdale Village is a terrific downtown destination; shop and dine local - explore the many shops, merchants, Culinary Quarter Mile restaurants, bars, clubs, breweries, eateries, with some new spots!"
