Long Island's American Airpower Museum To Host Haunted Hangar Halloween Party
The event is family-friendly and is set to feature trick or treating, a haunted bomber, a maze and more.
FARMINGDALE, NY — The American Airpower Museum, based in Farmingdale, is set to host its Haunted Hangar Halloween Party on Oct. 30, according to a news release. The event is set to run from 3 to 7 p.m. at Hangar 3, 1230 New Highway, Farmingdale.
The party will be family-friendly, as children will be able to go trick or treating in the hangar. Costumed staff will hand out treats. The hangar will be transformed into a horror house with dry ice fog, spider webs, flying bats and more. The museum is also setting up a Maze of Horrors for families to explore, as well as the Tram of Terror, which will feature a ride around Hangar 3. Crafts, games, prizes, face painting and more will all be offered.
A costume contest is slated for children ages 1 through 16, and adults are encouraged to dress up as well. Prizes will be awarded for the best original and creative costumes, courtesy of Cockpit USA. Halloween music, like John Zacherley’s “Monster Mash,” will be played.
