Asian-American Festival Kicks Off

The sixth annual Asian-American Festival starts at 11 a.m. Saturday at .

The daylong festival features costumes, displays, traditional and contemporary entertainment, martial arts exhibits, food and more.

Celebrate diversity on Long Island by bringing the whole family to the 6^th Annual Asian-American Cultural Festival in the spacious Multi-Purpose Room of Farmingdale State College.

A staged theater performance is also on the schedule.

Those willing to test their skills are invited to compete in the first Asian-American Festival Idol. Contestants should supply their own downloadable music for a karaoke machine. Beneficiary of the event is Leadership Huntington.
