Assemblyman Joseph Saladino will hold his annual Marine and Outdoor Recreation Expo Saturday September 10th from 11:00am to 4:00pm at the Captree State Park Boat Basin. The FREE* event features environmental education, fishing, marine displays and activities, boating and water safety demonstrations, touch tanks, face painting, refreshments and MORE! Assemblyman Saladino and Mike the Baker will create the State’s largest fish shaped cake, and then provide free cake to all. This year’s event will also honor veterans and first responders. This is a fun, family-oriented event meant to introduce people to fishing, outdoor activities, renewable energies and protecting the water resources on Long Island.

There will also be a concert featuring the Joe Saladino Band starring Gary Setzer, original member of the Stray Cats. Also performing are a Long Island favorite the Rockin’ 45’s. For more information call Assemblyman Saladino’s office at (516)-541-4598.

“Every year, the Marine Expo provides a wonderful day of family fun and allows folks the opportunity to learn about our environment and options for renewable energy such as solar and hydrogen power. Residents look forward to this event with its awesome live rock and roll music. We have musicians coming in from all over making this expo one not to miss,” said Assemblyman Saladino. “I hope that this event cultivates a love for Long Island’s environment. We are expecting a great turnout and hope that this Marine Expo will be the best one yet!”
