Bethpage Man Overdoses On Heroin, Anxiety Meds On JetBlue Flight: Cops
Two officers administered Narcan to the man who was later taken to the hospital for further treatment, police say.

A Bethpage man was hospitalized after overdosing on heroin and anxiety medicine while on a flight at JFK Airport on Wednesday night, according to Port Authority Police.
At about 10:50 p.m., officers Eric Stern and Sean Pomerantz responded to a call of a man in need of medical attention.
When the officers arrived they saw the 24-year-old man in distress, foaming from his mouth on-board a JetBlue plane that had returned to the gate at JFK, police said. The flight was en route to Florida when returned to the gate to meet the officers.

The officers noted the man was slipping in and out of consciousness. In addition, he was confused, had constricted pupils, slurred speech, and labored shallow respiration, police said.
After the officers determined the man was under the influence of drugs, Stern and Pomerantz administered a dose of Narcan, which stabilized the man's behavior and breathing, police said.
