Columbus Weekend Fair in Farmingdale Village to Kick Off Friday

Festivities will continue through the weekend until Columbus Day on Monday.

The Farmingdale Fire Department will be kicking off their Columbus Weekend Fair this weekend.

The event will feature carnival rides, games, live music, sports TV behind the fire house, and a street fair along Main Street.

Festivities will kick off on Friday, Oct. 7 with the carnival opening from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., the Fire Department barbecue taking place from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and live music by The Electric Dudes starting at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Oct. 8, the street fair will take place on Main Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Fire Department barbecue will begin at noon and the live music will kick off at 7 p.m.

The street fair and barbeque will also take place on Sunday, Oct. 9 in addition to sports TV playing beginning at noon and live music by Superbad kicking off at 7 p.m.

The parade, which will go down Main Street, will start at 6 p.m. and the fireworks show will kick off at 8 p.m.

Guests can enjoy the carnival and Fire Department barbecue on Monday, Oct. 10 as well.

All events will be located behind the firehouse/CVS on 361 Main Street with the fair and parade taking place along Main Street.
