Coronavirus On LI: Costco Limits Customer Group Size
Only two people per membership can now shop at one time at Long Island Costco stores.

NEW YORK — Costco, in an attempt to limit the spread of coronavirus and crowding in its stores, has implemented a new policy that only two people per membership card can enter the store at any one time.
The announcement was announced on the company's website and takes effect Friday.
"Effective Friday, April 3, Costco will allow no more than two people to enter the warehouse with each membership card. This temporary change is for your safety and the safety of our employees and other members, and to further assist with our social distancing efforts. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding."

All eight Costco Long Island stores have been crowded during the coronavirus pandemic and corporate policies to encourage social distancing among customers waiting on line, increased sanitization and the cessation of food samples.
