Saturday, Nov. 28

  • Small Business Saturday, Shop & Dine Local— the event kicks off Saturday and goes through the end of the year. Residents can visit merchants and see what’s new in the Village.

Tuesday, Dec. 1

  • Tri-centennial Tree Lighting— The annual Holiday Tree Lighting is held at the Gazebo at the Village Green, located at 361 Main St. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. and includes hot chocolate and cookies provided by the Farmingdale Bethpage Historical Society. The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Brass Ensemble Music performance. Join the Facebook event. Rain date is Dec. 3.

  • Stuff a Bagel Celebrates its 30th Anniversary— Stop in at the family business, located at 234 Main St., on these days to enjoy anniversary specials. The anniversary ribbon cutting ceremony with village officials, chamber of commerce members and the rest of the community will be held Saturday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m.

Marine Corps Toys for Tots

  • Collection site is at Village Hall. All residents are encouraged to drop off new toys that will be distributed to children in the local area.
