Drunken Teen Drove Into Farmingdale Home With 2nd Teen In Car: Police
The teen faces a Leandra's Law DWI charge, police say.
FARMINGDALE, NY — A drunken teenager drove his car into a Farmingdale home on Sunday while he had a second teen in the car, Nassau police said.
A 16-year-old boy was driving a 2011 Chrysler westbound on Park Avenue when he went off the road and struck a home around 6:30 p.m., police said. The boy had slurred speech, and a sobriety test found he was drunk, police said. The boy was arrested without incident, police said.
A 15-year-old boy who was a passenger in the car was released to a family member at the crash site, police said. No injuries were reported, and the Chrysler was impounded, police said.

The teen was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, aggravated driving while intoxicated (Child under 16) Leandra’s Law, endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead, on July 24.
