
The Fair is Part of the Campus’ Earth Week Celebration. Farmingdale State College will hold its tenth annual Health and Wellness Fair in Roosevelt Hall’s Multipurpose Room. Sponsored by the Health and Wellness Center, the event is free and open to the public.
A synthesis of holistic and western modalities, the fair will feature more than 80 agencies and vendors offering everything from acupuncture to yoga. Experts will provide relaxing messages and also health screenings, including vision and blood pressure testing.
Attendees can enjoy free herbal tea in the tea garden, learn the latest in green products and services, buy spring plants, and much more. Staffed with nurses, physicians, and wellness counselors, the Health and Wellness Center aims to enhance the lives of Farmingdale State students and enable them to achieve their educational and personal goals. In addition to traditional medical services, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage therapy, yoga and meditation, hypnotherapy, and reiki are available. A relaxation/aroma therapy room is also available to enable students to escape from their busy schedules, relax, and help manage stress.
