Nassau OTB's "Spring Fling" Handicapping Contest, Nassau OTB Spring Handicapping Championships

Where: All Nassau OTB branches including the Race Palace.

What:  FREE handicapping contests. Players are limited to one entry per branch.

When:  Contests will be held on select dates between March 26 - April 16.

Format:

1) Pick up an entry blank at each designated branch on the day of the contest only.

2) Players must select one horse to win in each of the day's races from Aqueduct, plus select out-of-town feature races.

3) The player or players who pick the most winning horses in the contest races will be declared the winners (subject to tie-breakers).

4) Tie-breakers are as follows.

 1) Highest-priced winning horse.

2) If still tied, the sum of all a players’ win payoffs will break ties.

3) If still tied, co-champions will be declared.

* The 8 branch winners plus 5 wild cards all will advance to an invitation-only Final Round at the Race Palace on Saturday, April 16.  The wild card winner (the player with the most cumulative overall winners picked through 8 contests) will win a $200 bonus.  The winner of one-day final round playoff earns $500 plus a free entry into Nassau OTB's summer Palace Crown Handicapping Tournament ($300 value).

Wild Cards: Five wild card berths into the invitation-only Final Round will go to;

1) The top 3 non branch-winners with the most overall combined winning selections in the 9 branch contests, 2) The top two non-qualified players with the highest average number of winning picks per contest (minimum 5 contests played).
