Oktoberfest Week at Library Cafe

Library Café hosts Oktoberfest 2011 celebrating German food and brews from October 18 through October 24 with a special tasting menu, and food and beer specials.  The week kicks off with a Paulaner Beer Oktoberfest dinner on Tuesday, October 18. 

The $25 three-course Oktoberfest tasting menu features a 7-ounce beer with each course and will be offered for lunch and dinner.  Menu is as follows:

*Potato Pancakes, Apple Sauce, Sour Cream ~ Samuel Adams Oktoberfest

*Choice of: Weiner Schnitzel (breaded veal or chicken) OR Wurst Platter, Warm German Potato Salad, Sauerkraut ~ Paulaner Oktoberfest

*Apple Streudel ~ Blue Point Pumpkin Ale Vanilla Float

*German food and brew specials offered throughout the week include:

* Brook Trout – Crab Meat, Fizzled Leeks, Shallot Cream Sauce, Mushroom Potato 21

*The Paulaner Beer Oktoberfest dinner on October 18 will begin at 7 p.m. featuring guest speaker, Scott MacDonnell of Paulaner Beer.  Cost is $40 per person or $25 a la carte (without beer flight) per person, plus tax and gratuity.  Reservations are recommended.  The menu is as follows:
