For residents who need help understanding the basics of gardening, classes will be offered to teach residents the proper techniques. These classes will be conducted by Copiague resident Vince Cirasole in an informal, interactive lecture style, which will provide residents with the opportunity to ask questions and to participate in meaningful dialogue. You will learn about proper watering techniques, composting, companion planting, crop rotation, disease and pest control, as well as many other aspects of organic gardening.
The seasonal class schedules are (all Mondays, 7:00pm - 8:30pm):
Spring 2011: March 7th & 14th
Summer 2011: May 2nd & 9th
Fall 2011: July 11th & 18th
Winter 2011: Aug 8th & 15th
