Then, a short ferry ride over to Greenport and a delicious lunch at Claudios, overlooking the harbor, with time to browse in this quaint village. Their next stop will be a tour of the award winning Catapano Dairy Farm, recently featured in Newsday and Food and Wine Magazine, with samples of their products including goat, feta, ricotta, chevre, gouda, yogurt, as well as their skin care products. This energy efficient and eco-friendly goat farm, one of Long Island’s best kept secrets is now a nationally recognized maker of natural cheeses. Registration for non-residents begins July 26. Call first for availability. Credit or Debit cards now accepted, as well as checks made payable to the Farmingdale Public Library. No cash please. No refunds.
