Samuel Adams National Stein Hoisting Competition at Library Cafe to Kick Off Octoberfest

How long can you hoist?  Drinkers will compete for their chance to be crowned the Samuel Adams National Stein Hoisting Champion and win a trip for two to the 2012 Octoberfest Celebration in Munich, Germany.  Nightly winners will be awarded with a Samuel Adams OctoberFest prize pack to include key chains, mugs, hats, etc.

How the competition works:  Contestants will be timed as they hold a stein filled with Samuel Adams OctoberFest.  Participants must hold their arm perfectly straight out in front of them at a 90-degree angle, parallel to the floor, with elbows locked.  The contestant who holds the stein the longest will win the contest for the night and will have their time entered into the National Contest.  Once all competitions across the country are complete, times will be tallied and the winner will be announced.
