Farmingdale CEO Honored by L.I. Community Foundation
Gregory Demetriou, owner of Lorraine Gregory Communications Group, is tapped for Board of Advisors.

Farmingdale Business owner Gregory P. Demetriou has been named to the Long Island Community Foundation's Board of Advisors.
Demetriou, CEO of the Farmingdale-based Lorraine Gregory Communications Group is a former NYPD detective and 1981 Medal of Honor recipient. He formed the Lorraine Gregory Corporation and purchased Bi-County Mailing, a small mailing company in Bethpage in 1992, which has grown and expanded during his tenure.
“Greg is one of our region’s most respected and accomplished business leaders. We are fortunate to have a person of his expertise join our board,” said LICF Executive Director, David Okorn. “His commitment to the well-being of the communities of Long Island is exceptional and a perfect asset to our Foundation.”
Under Demetriou’s leadership, Lorraine Gregory has acquired a printing company and envelope provider, established an online envelope store, created a promotional items department, and transformed the structure of the company to a comprehensive marketing communications provider as the Lorraine Gregory Communications Group, company representatives said.
Demetriou was named one of Long Island’s Outstanding CEOs by Long Island Business News earlier this year. he serves in numerous community and civic capacities.
The Long Island Community Foundation has provided more than $130 million to individuals, families, and businesses with various community needs.
