Farmingdale Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint

The man robbed the business after purchasing a pack of cigarettes early Friday morning, police say.

FARMINGDALE, NY - A man robbed a Farmingdale gas station at gunpoint after purchasing a pack of cigarettes early Friday morning, according to Nassau Police.

According to police, the man entered the Sunoco station located at 150 Fulton St. at about 1:35 a.m., purchased a pack of cigarettes and then exited the store.

The man then returned two minutes later wearing a black mask and armed with a silver handgun, approached the 31-year-old employee and demanded money from the register, police said.

When the employee complied and opened the cash register, the robber jumped over the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

He then left the store and fled westbound through the parking lot. No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as a 5-foot-10 to 5-foot-11 man in his 20s, thin build, wearing a black button down shirt, gray jeans, gray sneakers, gloves, black skull cap and black scarf covering face.
