Farmingdale Man Kidnapped, Sexually Assaulted New Jersey Girl: Prosecutor

The man, who met the 13-year-old girl online, traveled from Long Island and took her to a remote location, authorities say.

PATERSON, NJ — A Farmingdale man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a New Jersey girl has been arrested, the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office said this week.

Floiran Langumas-Montero, 24, went from Long Island to Paterson, New Jersey, at midnight on Oct. 29, to pick up a 13-year-old girl he had been communicating online with for months, prosecutors said. He took her to a remote location and engaged in sexual intercourse with her, officials said.

Langumas-Montero was arrested on Thursday and charged with one count of first-degree kidnapping, one count of second-degree luring, one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child via sexual contact.

He is detained in the Passaic County Jail. He's scheduled before a Superior Court judge for 9 a.m. Tuesday.

If convicted, Langumas-Montero faces a lengthy prison sentence. First-degree kidnapping alone carries 25 years to life in prison, with 25 years to be served before parole eligibility.
