Here is what you need to know about the Memorial Day Parade in Farmingdale Village.

FARMINGDALE, NY — The Farmingdale Village Memorial Day Parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. May 29. The Farmingdale Village Fire Department is organizing it.
The parade is set to start at Northside Elementary School and march south on Main Street to the Village Green. A ceremony is then slated to be held on the Village Green with veterans of Foreign Wars Post 516, VFW Auxiliary Post 516, American Legion, troops, groups +, 361 Main St.
"Join the Community to Remember, Honor & Salute our Heroes, those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our Nation," the village wrote.

The parade will be held rain or shine, and there will be street closures.
"Special Thanks to ALL Heroes, Veterans, participants, VFW, troops, groups, all involved, & to ALL @ the Farmingdale Fire Department for planning/sponsoring the parade!" the village wrote.

The American Airpower Museum is set to perform a three-plane flyover as part of the Farmingdale Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony. The museum has been doing this flyover for the last few years as part of the fire department ceremony. However, the museum has been asked to fly over the entire parade this year.
The American Airpower Museum's warbirds are set to fly over Farmingdale’s Memorial Day Parade starting at 10 a.m.
The museum's three warbirds flying over Monday's parade are: A P-51D Mustang Fighter, a P-40 Warhawk “Flying Tiger” Fighter and a AT-6D Texan.
"AAM proudly Joins the Farmingdale Community in this patriotic event, to Remember, Honor and Salute our Heroes, those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our Nation," the museum wrote in a statement. "We’re proud that three of our pilots are participating: Thom Richard will fly the P-51D; Nick Ziroli will fly the P-40; and Dave Wigley will fly the AT-6D Texan."
