FARMINGDALE, NY — The American Airpower — er, Scarepower — Museum of Farmingdale is set to host its Halloween Haunted Hangar Spooktacular from 2 to 6 p.m. Oct. 28.
The museum has a tradition of offering a kid-friendly place for children to enjoy Halloween shenanigans.
"Flap your bat wings to the museum and go trick or treating in our Haunted Hangar!" the museum wrote in a news release.

Costumed staff will hand out treats as children go door to door in the safety of Hangar 3, at 1230 New Highway.
"Mingle with ghosts, goblins, ghouls, skeletons, vampires and witches inside our spooky home, decorated and creatively transformed into a horror house with dry ice fog, spider webs, flying bats and new frights at every turn. Yikes!"

The museum dares guests to tour its Haunted Bomber and then enter the Maze of Horrors. Photo opportunities will be available next to the Ghost Fighter, and then people can climb aboard the Tram of Terror for a ride around the hangar.
There will also be crafts, games with prizes, and much more.
"And listen up, you scary parents, please dress up your children to compete in our Costume Contest for ages one through 16!" the museum wrote. "Adults are encouraged to dress up in horrific garb too, which will add to the festive atmosphere!"
Prizes will be awarded for the best original and creative costumes, courtesy of Cockpit USA. Lots of Halloween music, like John Zacherley’s "Monster Mash," will be playing for those who like to dance!
The regular admission fee is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and veterans, $10 for kids 5 to 12; and free admission for kids under 5 and active military.
