Farmingdale Schools Make Stand Against Bullying
Albany Avenue Elementary students participate in musical performance with a message.
The Farmingdale School District’s Albany Avenue Elementary School students recently attended an anti-bullying assembly featuring a special performance by the nationally acclaimed anti-bullying performer, Lyle Cogen.
Cogen performed her renowned Sticks and Stones interactive rap for the Albany Avenue Elementary students, which incorporates theater and music to educate children how to recognize and avoid bullying behaviors.
The musical rendition is based on the experiences and writings of Long Island school children of all ages.
