Farmingdale St. Patrick's Day Parade 2017: What You Need to Know
The 5th annual parade will kick off this weekend.
Thousands are expected at Farmingdale's Village 5th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade this weekend.
The parade will take place on Sunday, March 26 starting at at 1 p.m.
It will kick off from Northside Elementary School starting at 55 Powell Place and will span about half a mile down Main Street to the Village Green.

Local community groups are expected to attend include: Farmingdale Fire Departments, Pipe Bands, Village Officials and more.
Bishop John Dunne and Father Michael Duffy will be attending as Parade Grand Marshals. Katrina Albanese, Miss New York Grand Supreme East Coast USA will also be participating in the parade.

Guests can take photo op’s with shamrocks, plus face painting for the kids On the Village Green.
After the parade, guests can explore the many downtown merchants, hot spots, clubs and restaurants, many offer tastings, dining and drink specials.
“The last four St. Patrick’s Day Parades were a huge success, it was estimated that more than 4,000 people lined the streets and participated," Mayor Ralph Ekstrand said. “All are encouraged to come and enjoy a great community event, with many community groups, the Parade is Rain or Shine. Green is the Farmingdale Village color so it is only fitting that we Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day."
