Farmingdale Students To Be Featured In Upcoming Holiday Concert

Students from the Jazz Chorus and the Symphony Orchestra will be performing in the Long Island Music Hall of Fame's holiday concert.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Musicians from Farmingdale High School are part of a select group that will perform as part of the Long Island Music Hall of Fame’s upcoming Very Special Holiday Concert. The concert, being held to raise funds for music scholarships, will be held Sunday, Nov. 17 at The Space at Westbury Theater starting 2 p.m.

The school's Symphony Orchestra and Jazz Chorus were chosen to perform. Joining them are student musicians from Great Neck, Longwood, Queens and Uniondale high schools.

This continues a string of success for Farmingdale's music program, as it was one of six high school educational music programs to be recognized by the LIMHoF earlier this year.

This concert will serve as the premier launch event for the new Long Island Hall of Fame Mobile Museum, giving the public and attendees an exclusive first look at the interior of the 38-foot Winnebago converted into LIMHOF’s Mobile Museum, a tour bus that honors the 100+ Long Island inductees into the Hall, according to the Long Island Music Hall of Fame. All concert-goers will have access to the bus in front of the Theater, before and after the concert.

General admission tickets are $15, with $25 VIP seats. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and at The Space box office. You can also receive a complimentary ticket as a gift, with a donation to the Long Island Music Hall of Fame (more information www.limusichalloffame.org).
