Farmingdale Students Shine At State DECA Conference, Advance To International Competition
A sister duo has earned their place in the global conference in April.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Dozens of Farmingdale High School students competed in the DECA State Career Conference in Rochester last week – two students are headed to the international competition in April.
Fifty-one DECA Farmingdale students competed in technical exams, scenarios, and boardroom-style presentations from March 4 to March 6. The district said these students, under the mentorship of business teachers Alexis Zaino and Jackie Tannazzo, are the future of the global market. Nine students in particular were recognized for their technical mastery.
- Sisters Elise Kelly and Emma Kelly: The duo's award-winning Community Giving Project has earned them a spot at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Atlanta, Georgia, in April.

- Christian Ventura: Recognized for his strategic agility in Sports & Entertainment Marketing, earning a Top 10 spot in Role Play 2.
- Andrew Romance: A dual threat in Financial Consulting, securing Top 10 honors for both his Presentation and his Overall score.
- Zara Mir: Dominating the Hospitality & Tourism Professional Selling category with Top 10 finishes in both Presentation and Overall performance.
- Emma Nivar & Leo Scardina: Proving the power of creative strategy by placing in the Top 10 Overall for their Innovation Plan.
- Anna Carle & Giuliana Depascale: Showcasing the impact of social responsibility with a Top 10 Overall finish for their Community Giving Project.
