Farmingdale Teacher Serves as Grand Marshal at AHRC Nassau Walk

Farmingdale teacher Lynne Brewer's outstanding service was recognized as she was honored at the AHRC Nassau Walk.

A teacher and internship coordinator at Farmingdale High School, Lynne Brewer’s name is synonymous with service. As a leading volunteer with AHRC Nassau, Brewer is the force behind the fundraising and volunteer efforts for the Farmingdale High School Walk Team. To recognize her outstanding efforts, Brewer served as the Grand Marshal of the annual AHRC Walk.

Over the past 10 years, Brewer has worked tirelessly to give back to an organization that she has close personal ties to, as her sister receives services from AHRC Nassau. “AHRC Nassau has been a blessing to my family” noted Brewer. “For over 45 years my sister has been with this organization and they have provided her with training, education, recreation and a purpose.”

In addition to her work with the Walk, Brewer and Farmingdale High School students regularly volunteer and host events to bring awareness to AHRC Nassau. “I love involving students in events that bring so much love and happiness.”
