Fire Spreads Across Three Bethpage Homes
The blaze started at the garage of one home which then spread to three nearby homes.

BETHPAGE, NY - A garage fire at a Bethpage home spread to two nearby houses on Monday afternoon.
The Bethpage Fire Department was alerted for a house fire on Hicksville Road and Mary Lane at about 1:19 p.m.
Heavy black smoke was visible for miles. A detached garage, shed, several stockade fences, a propane BBQ, as well as a house behind the garage and a house to the right of the garage were on fire.

Bethpage firefighters responded with help from the Farmingdale ladder 926, South Farmingdale engine, Levittown ladder, North Massapequa engine and Massapequa's tower ladder.
The heat, humidity, and smoke required the extra manpower to relieve the original crews.

A total of 33 Bethpage volunteers answered this alarm. No injuries were reported.
It is unknown what caused the fire. The Nassau County fire marshal is investigating.
