Why Go:  Donate blood in conjunction with Long Island Blood Services and support their efforts to collect 35 pints of much needed blood in honor of the store's anniversary.

Farmingdale Village Fire Department Recruitment Open House

Where: , 361 Main St, Farmingdale
When: April 10, 1:30pm
Why Go:  On behalf of the Chiefs, Officers and members of the Farmingdale Fire Department, you are cordially invited to attend a firefighter recruitment open house. Throughout the day, the Farmingdale Fire Department will conduct tours of the station and firefighter apparatus, allow visitors to try on turnout gear, and provide activities and stations throughout the firehouse for visitors to participate in. The fire department will discuss the requirements to be a volunteer, as well as conduct demonstrations, answer questions, and let visitors know how to get involved in the fire department.

A former Senior Entertainment Editor at Teen People, Jen has interviewed everyone from Reese Witherspoon to Zac Efron. An entertainment journalist for the past ten years, Jen has written for TV Guide, Glamour, and Marie Claire. It was her work in the entertainment world that inspired her first series, Secrets of My Hollywood Life. This series is about a teen starlet named Kaitlin Burke who grows weary of the fame game, but loves being an actress. All are welcome!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Visit with the Easter Bunny

Why Go:  The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce presents its annual Easter Egg Hunt and Visit with the Easter Bunny.  The Easter Egg Hunt will take place on the Village Green at noon.  Come see the Easter Bunny! Bring your camera to take a photo with your fuzzy friend.

Open Tumble at Farmingdale Gymnastics Academy

Why Go:  All ages can practice their gymnastics.

The All Kids Fair at The Melville Marriott

Where: 1350 Walt Whitman Rd, Melville
When: April 10, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Why Go:  Part health and wellness fair, part education and activities expo for children birth through high school age and the people who love them.  Up to 80 exhibitors and over 20 classes.  Health, nutrition, financial and legal planning, special needs and more.  Classes for children expected to include yoga, music, martial arts, sports and party entertainers.  Classes geared towards parents concentrate on learning about ways to improve the lives of your children - physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. 
Pricing:  $5. Free for kids 2 and younger. Three Generations Special: Grandparent attends free when accompanied by a parent and child with tickets.

Children's Program at Massapequa Public Library - Sylvia & The Magic Trunk
