Gluten-Free Necromantic Brewery Of Farmingdale To Close Temporarily
A heating coil broke, and new beer needs to be brewed, says co-owner Ralph Mandarino.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Necromantic Brew Co. will close for roughly a month after a heating coil in the brewery broke. The first fully gluten-free tasting room and brewery in New York is at 253 Main St., Farmingdale.
The heating coil to the brewery's boil kettle burnt out, and Necromantic will need to brew some new beer.
Necromantic Brew Co. is hoping to reopen by the first or second week of March, co-owner Ralph Mandarino told Patch.

The business needs to brew six times over the next two weeks, according to Mandarino.
"Then each beer needs at least a week to settle, ferment, and condition for carbonation," he said.

Mandarino and his friend, Jesse Silano, opened Necromantic Brew Co. in October to give those with gluten intolerance a place to go spend time with others and indulge in craft beer safe for them to drink.
The brewery's walls are adorned with memorabilia and signed pictures from many horror films over the years, including "Friday the 13th" gear signed by a few actors who have played Jason Voorhees over the years.
