FARMINGDALE, NY — A GoFundMe campaign was set up by the daughter of a Farmingdale couple whose home was gutted by a fire early Friday morning.

Megan Bracken, the organizer, said around 1 a.m., the 51 Hampshire Dr. home belonging to her mother and stepfather was destroyed by the fire. It was Bracken's childhood home.

"Thankfully everyone inside was unharmed and got out safely, but the entire house is gone," she wrote. "This is a devastating blow to my family, and during the holiday season no less. All of their belongings are gone, and they only managed to get out with the clothes on their backs. They are left with nothing, not even bare necessities like ID, car keys, and drivers licenses."
