Good Times are Always on Tap at Celtic Pub & Eatery

Tilted Kilt Brings Jobs and Great Food to Farmingdale

Farmingdale, NY - Authentic pub fare with a side of sexy servers is on the menu for Farmingdale as the Tilted Kilt opens at 2120 Route 110. Tilted Kilt, a sports pub that pays homage to the old public houses of America, England, Scotland and Ireland combines classic Celtic décor with a selection of over 32 draught and bottled beers on tap with a large list of craft beers and 45 large TVs inside a fun, friendly and entertaining environment stretching nearly 5800 square feet.

The Pub will be owned by AARK Enterprises Inc. and will create 110 new jobs in the community. AARK Enterprises has multiple restaurants throughout the Northeast. The development group prides itself on providing great customer service and an entertaining environment.

“The community that surrounds the Tilted Kilt is what will make this the best place to eat some great food, drink a great beer, and meet some great people,” stated Colin Hunt, the Operations Manager of Tilted Kilt in Farmingdale. “This being our third store, we’ve created a sense of culture and family that we look to continue here on Long Island. We are honored when guests walk through our doors with so many eateries to choose from, and it is because of that fact we are dedicated to delivering the best experience around.”

The menu at Tilted Kilt of Farmingdale is a mix of traditional pub food like Hand Battered Fish & Chips and Shepherd’s Pie, but also features creations like San Patricio Street Tacos, Pub Fried Egg Burger and freshly cooked wings. As the famed Tilted Kilt slogan goes, “A Cold Beer Never Looked So Good.”

At Tilted Kilt, the entire experience follows the theme of a theatrical production. Servers are called “entertainers,” wearing mini-kilts made of the Tilted Kilt's own registered tartan plaid, a plaid top, sporran, stockings and flashings. When a new restaurant is hiring, the “directors” (store managers) hold a “casting call” where servers audition to be part of the “show.” They are trained to be the “star” but that’s no act as the Kilt Girls of Farmingdale were chosen for their special talents and radiating personalities. For female guest enjoyment, Tilted Kilt also recruits “cast members” as male bartenders who wear the Tilted Kilt uniform.

“We put a huge emphasis on recruiting warm personalities and training staff to make connections with every guest,” said Tilted Kilt President Ron Lynch. “From start to finish, our guests keep coming back because they feel part of the production.”

It’s not just the cast members that look good at Tilted Kilt. With large TVs, Tilted Kilt is the best place to watch sports and hang out with friends. Humorous and slightly bawdy limericks are even seen throughout the pub, creating an atmosphere that is fun and entertaining.
