Students and parents from all over the Farmingdale district came to support and cheer on their teachers. Just before the game started, the Farmingdale Boy Scouts Troop 46, came out carrying the American Flag while Brianna Iannello sang the National Anthem.
Once the game started, the Harlem MagicMasters came out with a bang. They scored two points immediately, followed by another two, but that didn’t stop the Farmingdale Tornadoes. They fired back and scored two points. Slightly after tying the game, four to four, the Harlem MagicMasters came through with another two points, leaving it six to four, with the MagicMasters in the lead.
It was a game of great sportmanship. Eve Dieringer (#1), of the Farmingdale Tornadoes, got a little assistance from the MagicMasters when she couldn’t quite place the ball in the hoop.
The game continued with the Farmingdale Tornadoes taking the lead ten to eight with just two minutes and thirty-two seconds left. Patrick Klocek (#32), of the Farmingdale Tornadoes, stole the ball and was able to score the Tornadoes another two points.
At the second quarter of the game, a fight broke out between a MagicMaster member and Joe Valentine (#34), of the Farmingdale Tornadoes. It was a fist to fist fight, of course all for show, which landed the MagicMasters a penalty, and gained Valentine two shots, bringing the score to 23-34, the MagicMasters still in the lead.
The Farmingdale Varsity Cheerleaders came out during halftime and did a routine to a mash-up of some of today’s top hits. The Farmingdale Dalerettes kickline followed with a interpretive dance to wrap up the half-time show.
The game continued on and the Harlem MagicMasters were just too good for the Farmingdale Tornadoes. Although the Tornadoes fought back with much effort, they lost the game in the end with a final score of 80-60.
The MagicMasters stayed back to sign autographs for all of their fans. The children came pouring out of the stands and surrounded the MagicMasters, eagerly awaiting their turn for a photo with the team member and their autograph.
