Haunted House Of Hamburgers Coming To Farmingdale
The hamburger restaurant is set to replace the long-vacated Friendly's this fall. "I thought it was way overdue," says owner Jordan Desner.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Fans of hamburgers and Halloween are in for a treat.
Haunted House of Hamburgers is coming to Farmingdale. The restaurant, which will be Halloween-themed inside and outside, is targeting an opening in October, says the owner, Jordan Desner.
"We're excited about the whole thing," Desner, 47, of Plainview, told Patch. "We're hoping to bring something really special to the town. The town is getting something unique."

Haunted House of Hamburgers is set to open at 332 Fulton St. — the long-abandoned site of the former Friendly's that closed in early 2015.
"I thought it was way overdue," Desner said of bringing a new business to the vacant lot. "This town definitely needs something special, and they're going to get it. They're in for a treat. They are. It's going to be different from anything else that's around. We're going to theme this thing out."

The eatery will specialize in build-your-own and signature burgers. Other options will be a turkey burger, flatbread pizzas, chicken sandwiches, appetizers, entrees, and salads. Breakfast would be served on Saturdays and Sundays. Desner is considering adding an impossible burger for those that don't want meat.
Fans of Friendly's ice cream will be pleased to know that Haunted House of Hamburgers will also serve up ice cream shakes, sundaes and other desserts.
The business will also run "Horror Q" nights on the 13th of every month, Desner said.
While Desner is targeting October as an opening date — in time for Halloween — he said it depends on how fast the permit process goes. He plans for a December opening at the latest.
"Come down to HHH, where every day is Halloween," Desner said.
