A hearing into a tax-relief request for the Bartone Plaza project was postponed Thursday because of a lack of a quorum.
BWC Realty Partners , LLC., the company managed by Anthony Bartone, had filed an application for a Payment in Lieu of Taxes or PILOT agreement with the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency related to the project, according to the agency's website.
A PILOT is an agreement that usually allows a developer or other entity to pay the government less than they would normally owe in property taxes. The IDA uses such agreements to promote business development in Nassau County.
