Hearing Scheduled on Hookah Lounge Permit
The Village of Farmingdale board meeting set public hearings and approved reserve adjustments.

At a meeting in June, the board had ordered the owners to comply with liquor and village laws, and told its owners to stop allowing customers to bring in their bottles.

Propose a new Property Maintenance Code enforcing fines if a landlord does not keep their property well-kept.
Propose a code revision in the Business “D” Zoning District to include apartments, condominiums and cooperative residencesas well as townhouses

Propose a code change to lower the senior living age to 55 instead of the current 62.
In addition, Steve Fellman was sworn in as superintendent of buildings in Farmingdale.
Other board news:
- The Farmingdale Youth Council will hold their
annual concert at the Village Green on July 12 at 6 pm.
The Junior League of Women’s Club of Farmingdale
will use the court room for their meetings on September 6, October 4 and
November 1.
The Towne House West Owners, Inc. will use the
court room on Saturday July 21 from 9 am to noon for their annual shareholders
meeting.
Town Improvements
The board approved Roadwork Ahead, Inc. to proceed with the
reconstruction of curb, gutter, driveway apron, miscellaneous concrete, milling of all roads and road resurfacing of the streets of Sullivan, Pinehurst, Ivy, Taylor, Lincoln and Manetta at a maximum cost of $682,000.
They also approved Savik Engineering for engineering
oversight of said road reconstruction project at a cost of $17,000.
They approved Carl’s Fence as the low bidder to install
estate fencing on the south side of the Village Green for $2310.

- Magniflood Lot 2 lighting in excess of NYSERDA
grant reduced $3,368.38
Stasi Brothers walkway by Chase reduced

12 hour parking permits increased $10,443.00
Fairfield fees increased $16,910.16
Croxley fees increased $2,000.00
Access IT fees increased $2,000.00
RSM Lounges (Hookah) increased $4,000.00
Parkland Funds Adjustments – total increase of $15,000.00
18 Dale Drive increased $5,000
Scotts increased $10,000
Fire Department Adjustments
Reduction of $11,796.00
