Impaired Man Drove Car on Runway at Republic Airport: Police
Unfortunately for him, his car did not have wings and police say he was arrested when his car broke down early Saturday.

FARMINGDALE, NY - A 34-year-old Wyandanch man faces several charges after police say he refused to pull over for police and then drove his car through a fence and onto the runway at Republic Airport in Farmingdale early Saturday.
Kroy Moore is charged wth driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol, criminal trespass, false personation, criminal mischief and unlawful fleeing of a police officer.
According to police, a First Precinct patrol officer observed Moore’s 2015 Volkswagen Jetta drive through a red light on Mount Avenue in Wyandanch at about 1:35 a.m. and attempted to pull the vehicle over.

Moore did not pull over and a pursuit was initiated, but it was terminated a short time later, police said.
About a minute later, the vehicle was seen by First Precinct officers on New Highway in Farmingdale, police said.

Moore drove through a fence at Republic Airport and continued to drive on a runway and through the airport until his vehicle became inoperable, police said.
Moore then fled on foot and was apprehended by First Precinct police officers, police said.
The investigation is continuing. Moore will be held overnight at the First Precinct and scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.
