“Little Doctors” Help With Farmingdale Blood Drive
Fifth graders help out with Red Cross donations.

Nearly 30 5th grade students in the Farmingdale School District’s Woodward Parkway and Albany Avenue Elementary schools recently volunteered their time to help their schools host a successful blood drive.
The “little doctors” assisted blood donors by helping them check in and giving them juice and cookies. A total of 143 pints of blood were collected which, according to the American Red Cross, can save up to 429 lives.
The pints of blood were donated to Long Island Blood Services.
