Man Arrested After Stabbing Restaurant Employee in Back: Police
The employee was taken to local hospital for treatment.

FARMINGDALE, NY - A 25-year-old Farmingdale man was arrested for assaulting an employee at a Farmingdale restaurant early Saturday morning, according to Nassau Police.
Police responded to The Meetball Place on 206 Main Street at about 2:38 a.m. where a patron, Joseph DiGennaro, was involved in a disturbance, police said.
A 39-year-old man who worked at the restaurant, attempted to remove the DiGennaro when he punched the employee in the face and stabbed him in the back with a four inch knife causing two lacerations, police said.

The employee was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

He is being charged with second degree assault, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon and third degree assault, police said.
He will be arraigned on December 18.
