Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Farmingdale: Police
A man got into an argument with several patrons at a restaurant and then stabbed someone outside of it, police say.
FARMINGDALE, NY — A Bellmore man was charged with attempted murder after he stabbed someone outside a Farmingdale restaurant on Sunday morning, Nassau police said.
Martin Carpio, 35, entered Dominican Restaurant 4, at 305 Main St., and argued with several customers in the eatery around 2 a.m., police said. The argument escalated into pushing and shoving, police said. Carpio and someone he was arguing with went outside onto Main Street, police said.
Carpio then stabbed a 21-year-old man, causing deep cuts and a punctured lung, police said. A man who was with the person who was stabbed then punched Carpio, who fell to the ground unconscious, police said.

Officers arrived and brought Carpio and the man he stabbed to local hospitals, police said.
Carpio was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He will be arraigned when he is medically able to, police said.
