Police Release New Details in Fatal Drive-By Shooting

A Mercedes-Benz carrying six occupants was shot at, killing Frank Myers.

FARMINGDALE, NY – A man was killed and a woman was injured in a drive-by shooting as they were driving in East Farmingdale early Tuesday, Suffolk County police said.

Frank Myers, 33, of Wyandanch, was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County Police advanced medical technician. The woman, 27, of Westbury, was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow and is expected to survive.

A 2017 Mercedes-Benz carrying six occupants, including Myers, was traveling westbound on Route 109, near Route 110, when another car pulled alongside, and its occupants fired multiple shots into the Mercedes around 3:05 a.m., police said.

The driver of the Mercedes drove to Sunoco, located at 150 Fulton St. in Farmingdale, where the car's occupants asked an employee to call 911. Nassau County police officers responded and found two gunshot victims in the car. The four other people in the Mercedes-Benz were not injured.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives believe the incident started at the Mirage Gentlemen's Lounge around 3:05 a.m., located on Route 109 in East Farmingdale.

There was an argument between two parties at the lounge which led to the drive-by, police said as reported by News 12. Police say shell casings were found on Route 109 near Mirage Gentlemen's Lounge, and they are still looking for the suspect or suspects who fired the shots.

Police are in the process of looking for and interviewing the four other occupants of the Mercedes-Benz, Newsday reports.
