EAST FARMINGDALE, NY – A 40-year-old man was killed in a crash between a motorcycle and an SUV on the westbound Southern State Parkway Wednesday night, State Police said.
According to police, Christopher Helstowski, of West Babylon, was riding a 2013 Suzuki motorcycle west of Exit 33–Route 109 in East Farmingdale when it rear-ended a 2011 GMC Terrain at 9:43 p.m.
Helstowski was ejected from his motorcycle. He was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the GMC was not injured. The investigation is ongoing and the State Police are asking anyone who may have information concerning the crash to call 631-756-3300.
