Nassau 7-Eleven Clerk Hospitalized After Robbery
The clerk was injured during a gunpoint robbery early Thursday.

FARMINGDALE, NY - A Nassau County 7-Eleven clerk was hurt during a gunpoint robbery early Thursday, police said.
According to police, 60-year-old man was working at the 7-Eleven at 150 Main Street in Farmingdale at about 1:33 a.m. when a man with a dark bandana across his face entered the store and displayed a black handgun.
The robber demanded money from the register and struck the clerk multiple times, causing lacerations to his head.

The man stole cash and fled on foot northbound on Main Street.
The clerk was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Further investigation revealed that the man also attempted to rob a cab driver at 273 Main St. a few minutes earlier. During the attempted robbery, he was seen on a black and silver mountain bike.

He was also seen around the same time breaking into Stuff A Bagel at 234 Main St. where he entered the store by breaking the front door window but he quickly fled the store with no proceeds.
The robber is described as a black man, 6-feet tall, with a thin build and 30 to 35 years old. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt and dark pants.
