New Steakhouse Set To Open In Farmingdale

It will be the first Long Island location for LongHorn Steakhouses, which only has a handful of restaurants in New York.

After you head to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 6, you'll be able to head to Farmingdale for the grand opening of Long Island's newest steakhouse.

LongHorn Steakhouse is opening its first Long Island location at 1000 Broad Hollow Road in Farmingdale. The restaurant will open at 3 p.m. for dinner, and then at 11 a.m. the next day when normal hours will start.

The chain steakhouse is owned by Darden Restaurants, which also owns Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze and more. The restaurant currently has locations across the country. It's other New York restaurants include locations in Elmhurst and Yonkers.

The restaurants are all western-themed, and feature contemporary artwork and sculptures of horses, western landscapes and sunsets. LongHorn Steakhouse says it serves fresh, never frozen steaks prepared by a certified grill master.

The new Farmingdale location will seat 200 guests and create 60 new jobs for the area.
