Photos: Farmingdale State Rams Defeat Yeshiva

Farmingdale State - 89, Yeshiva University - 68.

The men's basketball team defeated Yeshiva University 89 - 68  on Thursday night. The Yeshiva Maccabees had a record of 2-12 before the game against Farmingdale State, whose overall record was 8-6.

The Rams victory was led in part by both junior guard Dyshaun Flournoy from Brentwood with a game high 24 points and Robert Adon from New York with 21 points. Coach Erik Smiles looked fearless as he watched his team pull together. "Dyshaun Flournoy is having a really great game. I'm hoping everyone sees him pulling through and follows his lead," he said.

The first half of the game was filled with with four ties and two lead changes. During the second half, Farmingdale increased from 60 percent to 68 percent shooting from the field and 83 percent from long range.

The Skyline Conference Report on men's basketball for 2010-2011 ranked Farmingdale State in the third position behind St. Josephs and Mount Saint Mary. The Rams will play their next game at The Sage College of Albany  on Saturday Jan. 22 at 3 p.m.
