Police Seek Farmingdale Pocketbook Thief

He is wanted for grand larceny.

Police are looking to identify the man who stole a woman’s pocketbook from a Farmingdale laundromat in August.

On Aug. 17, the man was inside The Farmingdale Village Laundromat, located at 425 Main St., when he removed the woman’s pocketbook, containing credit cards and cash, at 8:53 a.m., police said.

The man, who is wanted for grand larceny, fled the scene on foot with the proceeds.

Police described the man as Hispanic, dark skinned, 5-foot-8-inches tall, in his mid-30s, wearing an orange shirt (possibly a University of Texas shirt) and black shorts.
