Police Seek Man Who Stole Donation Jar From Babylon Animal Hospital

Theft occurred last year.

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who stole a donation jar from an animal hospital in Lindenhurst last year.

Police say the man pictured above stole a donation jar that contained an estimated $500 from the counter of the Babylon Animal Hospital, located at 350 Montauk Highway, on June 11, 2014. The man got into the passenger seat of a dark-colored Ford Explorer and fled from the hospital, police said.

The money was being raised for Miley, an Italian Greyhound that needed surgery for bone deformities, police said. Miley has since had the necessary surgery.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
