The Michael Scotto Foundation of Farmingdale has given a $10,500 grant to Pal-O-Mine Equestrian.
Pal-O-Mine Equestrian also received $35,000 from the Laurence W. Levine Foundation in Bayport. Both grants will go toward providing care for therapeutic horses. The Scotto grant will go toward caring for a horse named Vinnie as well as provide money for a riding scholarship for a student.
The horses at Pal-O-Mine are a part of the therapeutic programs, including the equine assisted pychotherapy program, which incorporates horses for emotional treatment.
