Six Farmingdale Photography Students Place in 2020 Youth Showcase
The Photographic Federation of Long Island (PFLI) recently held its 11th Annual Youth Showcase.

FARMINGDALE, NY (May 13, 2020) — The Photographic Federation of Long Island (PFLI) recently held its 11th Annual Youth Showcase. Fifteen Long Island High Schools participated, and six Farmingdale High School students from Ms. Steffen’s digital photography class placed in the following categories.

“Fourteen of my students participated in the showcase with sixteen submissions,” said Ms. Steffen. “Just to have their work chosen to compete is an honor!” In addition to the students above who placed, the following FHS photography students were chosen to participate in the showcase: Katelyn Lenihan, Skylar Avedisian, Victoria Pizzarelli, Jordan Gomez, Miles Malanowski, Angelina Frangipane, Shannon Kelleher, Alexis Condus, and Gianna Sancetta.
The sixteen Farmingdale images that competed in the Long Island contest now advance to the national level contest, where they will be judged in various categories.

The PFLI is a nonprofit organization of camera clubs from Nassau and Suffolk counties and the five boroughs of NYC and is dedicated to the enjoyment and advancement of photography.
