Why Go: For Grades 3-5. They will introduce you to the world of bugs in this workshop. Learn about their unique eyesight, the way that they defend themselves against predators, and more.

Dinosaur Children’s Program

Why Go: For Grade K-5. Join an instructor from the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County and learn about these amazing creatures that roamed the Earth before humans. You’ll discover the clues they left not only in the rocks, but in our present day wildlife as well.
Prestino’s Magic Show

Why Go: For all ages and a parent. Get ready for an evening full of magic, fun and surprises with Magician Prestino. Seating is first come, first served.
Willem De Koonig Workshop
Where: , 116 Merritts Rd., Farmingdale
When: April 20, 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Why Go: For Grades 6 and up. Join the Long Island Children's Museum for this unique workshop and explore the art and life of Willem de Kooning, one of the famous painters of the abstract expressionist movement. Create a painting of your own using similar artistic techniques. Paint your masterpieces using large canvases, paint, tracing vellum and a variety of materials. This program is made possible by a generous grant from The Willem de Kooning Foundation.
Go Green Children’s Program

When: April 21, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Why Go: For Grades K-2. Earth Day is approaching and recycling is one way that we can take care of our planet. Join Miss Elena to reuse and recycle a milk carton and transform it into a beautiful planter. Seating is first come, first served.
The Singing Schoolbus Driver Children's Program

Why Go: For all ages and a parent. The Singing School Bus Driver is back with his exciting show. This upbeat show will have children singing, clapping, and dancing. Seating is first come, first served.
Froggy Fun Children's Program

When: April 22, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Why Go: For all ages and a parent. Hop on down to the library for this storytime all about frogs. There will be stories, songs, rhymes, and a special froggy craft for you to make. Seating is first come, first served.
