Stew Leonard's Plans Anniversary Week Wine Tasting
Other spirits will be offered over 10-day period beginning Sept. 29.
will mark 10 years in Farmingdale on Oct. 6 and is celebrating with 10-day wine and spirits tasting calendar starting on Saturday, Sept. 29.
During the tasting event, every-day favorites will be featured alongside notable and rarely tasted bottles, the company said. To kick off the week, former New York Jets running back Freeman McNeil will host a tasting and bottle signing of the New York Jets’ signature wine, Jets Uncorked, on Saturday Sept. 29 from 3– 5 p.m.
The store in the Airport Plaza will also welcome radio personalities for a Bushmills Irish Whiskey bottle signing event on Oct. 5; for every bottle of Bushmills sold, Stew Leonard’s Wines, voted the 2011 Wine Enthusiast Retailer of the Year, will donate $1 to the Boomer Esiason Foundation.

- Bushmills Irish Whiskey bottle signing with Boomer & Carton

- Grande Tasting of 70 Wines
Sunday, Oct. 7 from 1–4 p.m.
- Bubbly Tasting/ 10-year-old champagnes.
Monday, Oct. 8 from 1–4 p.m.
- Bacardi Rum Tasting
At each event, ’s Wines specialists will be on hand to answer questions about the wines and spirits as well as to make recommendations to customers. All tastings will be held at Stew Leonard’s Wines, located at 210 Airport Plaza in Farmingdale.
Over the past decade, the Farmingdale wine shop has sold 7.9 million wine bottles.
