East Farmingdale Window Installation Business Closing Call Center

EAST FARMINGDALE, NY — Renewal by Anderson of Long Island, a window installation service in East Farmingdale, is closing its call center, according to the New York State Department of Labor. There are 35 employees working at the call center of the 2029 New Highway business.

The closing date is scheduled for April 29. From there, a 14-day separation period will start. Employees were notified of the closure Jan. 30. Keith Hicks, president of Renewal By Andersen of Long Island, said the company is consolidating its Long Island call center with other call centers throughout the country.

However, not all 35 workers of the East Farmingdale business may lose their jobs.

"Our intention is to offer all of those impacted employees who are still in good standing with us at the time of closure other positions with the business, since we're continuing to grow," Hicks told Patch. "We're currently still recruiting for other departments for the business."

Hicks said the company intends to place impacted employees in those other departments.
